That sounds like a photo-opportunity for sure Helen - have to get the boys to get it recorded on "film". :)

Congratulations. Does PAT work come with insurance for your dog? We considered therapy dog here and I was warned about that.

They do have public liability but I also have this on my own pet insurance. :)

That's so lovely Helen, as you know my old Bones used to visit old people in a local home and it was a wonderful experience for him and for them too.

My T-Shirt and Hattie's tabard have arrived, all paperwork in order, insurance etc., I have contact a Nursing Home and a Hospice offering our services but no reply. I thought it was going to be simple enough to sort out as we are offering a lovely service for free. Is it me or does the world just move soooo slowly? Freeling pretty frustrated now as it's been a month since we were accepted by PAT :( x

I think it's just the world seems to move slowly when we are keen to start on something, and conversely slowly when it's something we're not keen on :). I'm sure you'll hear back very soon, if not why not drop in and introduce yourself to the Manager and see how things progress. I know you and Hattie are going to be fantastic in your new role. Oh, just so you don't forget we need photos of you and Hattie in your official uniforms :D, please, please, please

Yes your right Rosemary, I am so keen to get cracking I am becoming very impatient. I will give it another week or so and drop in and introduce myself. As much as I dislike having my photo taken I promise to get some done of Hattie and I in our 'uniform' and post them, I PROMISE!! ;) Thanks for your help. xx

Morning, a little progress has been made. I emailed the Hospice that is part of our local Hospital a week ago, I received a lovely reply yesterday telling me that a meeting had been held and all staff agreed it would lovely to have a regular PAT dog visit, I have to phone the lady on Monday for a chat so looks like "we're in" oh I really hope so. I will update you on Monday, I'm so excited although a Hospice will be tough and I'm not :( xx

That's absolutely fantastic news. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome to the phone call on Monday. You will be fine and think of the happiness that Hattie will bring to people there. xx

Well I finally managed to talk to the lady at the Hospice, Hattie and I have been invited in for a chat this Friday, I reckon they want to give us the once over to see if we will do :) Feel a bit nervous but I am sure all will be fine and Hattie will do me proud. Keeping everything crossed that they like us and Hattie will be invited to be their regular PAT dog :) xx
