Does anyone have recommendations as to what we should keep in a first aid kit for our pup?

    All advice gratefully received

    Tweezers! For thorns and splinters.

Tick tweezers too, these are brilliant for levering off ticks without leaving the head behind. Also scissors for cutting away fur around wounds or cutting firmly snagged teazles or bramble sticks out of longer coats.

Something to make a pressure pad out of for when you need to stop bleeding - cotton wool wrapped in some kind of cotton sheet or bandage would suffice.

Those bandages that stick to themselves are handy too, not sure what they are called.

    I now want biscuits too!

This is usually a bad sign if you need them, but I recommend carrying really good wire cutters! :(

If they're the ones I'm thinking of then they're called Cohesive bandages. You can roll them on and off and they stick to themselves but nothing else.

This might sound obvious - but a copy of the vet's emergency phone number.
