You're quite welcome! We couldn't have young Bud unable to write in his diary, could we?!

No we couldn't. He really enjoys chatting with his friends and it would be a travesty to take that away now.!

Lots of dog poo bins in my area. But I have two observations: the first is that I saw a woman bring all of her dog poo from her home to put in a public dog poo bin thus saving her own bin; the second is I saw a woman taking her poo home but tied it to the outside of the car door handle to stop stinking out the car - it did look a bit odd bouncing away as she drove off.

Haha! What if the bag split from all the bouncing action?! :D

...a case of the $h1t hitting the van?

All of our rubbish bins are 'dual use' plus we have extra poo bins at park areas. Doesn't stop some people not picking up unfortunately

That can be true of most areas i guess can't it......the irresponsible dog owners who are too lazy to take a minute to remove the waste. One wonders how they would feel if we came and left a package where they like to walk, and then just walked away! At least we can hold our heads up high. :)

    Hi

The most eco friendly way to get rid of the dog waste is to use the scoop bags that are provided by different skip bin companies. You can hire the one that will provide you this service so that you can get rid of the waste very easily.

Hi Mike Moore and welcome to the forum. I'm afraid we don't allow adverts on the forum so I've edited your post.

I live in South Oxfordshire where they are obsessed with rubbish!

Here is a question. Should Molly be uncooperative enough to poo not near a dog poo bin and I have to bring it home with me, where do I dispose of her 'gift'?

Recycling bin? Well strictly speaking she has already recyled it

In the non-recycling bin? Well, I know a lot of nappies go there

Pretty sure it's not the food waste bin.

Possibly, the brown garden waste bin which is taken off for composting. I have childhood memories of the competition among the neighbours for the deposits made by the milkman's horse to put on their roses.

If she uses the back garden it is simple, kitchen towel and down the loo.

I have to confess to a warmth for extreme temperatures. A late night poo in freezing conditions produces a nice frozen package, easy to pick up. In high summer, by the time I have risen and dealt with it it is semi cooked and pleasantly firm

Ah, poo, what an evergreen topic :)

Plastic bag always for me and in the non-recycling bin. I want plastic in between me and that baby.

Patricia McD (on the DVD I watched - see book reviews) gave a very reasonable theory about why poo is an ancient and essential link between dogs and humans...but I'll save it for a time when people are unlikely to be eating. Which, given the international membership of the forum, is about never...

In the UK, most councils ask you not to put pet waste in recycling bins. I put mine in the general domestic waste. Then feel guilty because I use biodegradable bags that go into landfill and then are MORE harmful than plastic because they generate greenhouse gases as they breakdown.

    I've concluded you can't bl**dy win....

Today I walked the best part of 4 miles with a bag of poo before depositing it in the Dog Poo Bin about 50 yards from my house.

    Hi Molly

You can hire the skip bin that will be placed outside your house then you will not have to walk miles to dispose of the bag of poo.
