    Hello and welcome!

    I know a yellow lab called Mango, and (oddly) a black lab called Peach! I like Saffron a lot as a name.

    Cheese.. Hmmm.. Brie, Camembert, Wensleydale?? ;)

    Ha! This is my standing joke- quite often people mis-hear Merla as Merlot, which makes me want to get a yellow lab called Chardonnay

    Merla is Catalan for Blackbird (like merle in French) I just looked for loads of related words in different languages until I found one I liked. Something to do with sand might work.....
