Bee-keeping Labrador

    I thought you might enjoy this story about a black Labrador that has been trained to sniff out a bee disease affecting beehives so the hives can be treated. The dog has to wear a special suit to avoid being stung. A few people are having issues getting their pups used to wearing harnesses at the moment - we should thank our lucky stars that we don't have to train our dogs to wear a bee-keeping suit like this boy has to! :)

    Thanks Rachael,ill look at it later when I come in,rushing now.....just had a thought about how much Lisa would love the idea of getting Simba into a beekeeping outfit......I certainly wouldn't fancy get my fella into one! X

    Had to laugh at the thought of Simba ;D

    Lynne, I don't think that he looks too thrilled either - maybe it's just a little bit too 'fashion forward'.

    Oh dear, poor boy... But it is a great job he'll be doing, helping save the bees. WITHOUT getting stung!

    i think the heels are a bit small for him....i would have no chance of getting that on jasper :)

    Must be a very laid back dog to allow that get up to be put on , but what a fantastic job :)

    Amazing now I've seen it!Heidrun mentioned a hankering to keep bees and she's the girl to train a dog to wear something like this....tell Ziggy it's what all the most a la mode Clumbers are wearing this hunting season ;) x

    Oh my!!!! All I can say is that the owner better not use duct tape to repair that CONE shaped head-gear!! My imagination completely fails me when I try to imagine getting this on Simba....

    Wow.... I'll threaten Charlie with it if he doesn't stop trying to catch the bees on the cotoneaster!

    I think the suit should really have a tail shape at the back - looks a bit silly without, I think. ;D

    Hah! Can you imagine getting your dog in there AND trying to put the tail in the tail-hole???? ;D ;D
