An hour in the rain with Belle & Coco up in the field at Ard Jerkyll - great fun. We only used a flat collar for lead walking - they usually use a leather figure-of-8 head collar, but he hates it. He settled down after the initial pulling and bucking, and walks better than we were lead to believe. We let them both off-lead too, he was a bit over boisterous with Belle again, who was getting fed up of him mounting her - she's got a smashing snappy-snarl full of teeth. He was also desperate to play chase but she wasn't interested, snapping again. The big plus is the Belle is not afraid and does not hang back when she has the chance, she keeps up with us.
He loves playing fetch with a tennis ball, and will give it back - novel for us. Not interested in coming when called yet
frown emoticon - well he will sometimes. We'll be back up tomorrow, hopefully he'll remember Belle and be a bit less full-on like he was last Sunday.

OH has also been up twice last week to walk him for an hour on his own, said he was much more calm than today. We're going to arrange for the home check tomorrow when we go up to walk him.

Really pleased for you that it's going so well and that Belle is not phased, and he will soon learn a recall.

It's great that you're able to take your time with this decision :) Glad Belle is holding her own.
