They certainly do know how to make you worry.

I had some family visit last weekend, and they had seen Bear when we first got him, they were shocked to see him now, one person even questioned if he was the same puppy:), I think he has done a lot of early growing, I suspect he will only slowly increase in height from now on, as I think he is more likely to be the broad chest stocky type labrador rather than long in the legs (based on his father).

I have found the only way to get a somewhat accurate height measurement of Bear is to get him close to the wall and then hold my hand like I am going to pat him (usually it's a 2 person job, one person gets his attention with a toy, while the other one gets the hand ready and then gives the call to lead him away, then once he is going for the toy, the other person comes over with the tape measure and measures to the hand). Not perfect, but as good as you are going to get with a 24 week old puppy:D

I took Xena to the vet to be weighed today - 16.4 kg, but then I weighed her at home and got 14.5 kg. 2 kg is a massive difference, so as long as I can pick her up I'll go with my home scales for the forum graph (19 weeks).

At the clinic though...she was just so excited, it completely surprised me. It took 5 minutes to get her onto the scales because she just couldn't stay still. The bloody receptionist kept telling me to make her sit and I kept telling her that I wasn't even going to attempt it in her excited state. I mean sure, better to like the vet than be anxious, but she was completely mad, probably not helped by the aforementioned receptionist dropping treats all over the floor . What a performance for what I'd hoped was a quick weigh-in.

My Pepper was 2.2 kg (5 pounds) at 8 weeks. We are going to the vet for more shots today. Am wondering if I got the runtiest runt of them all. o_O

I wonder if there's actually much correlation between puppy size and adult size. I know that sounds a bit crazy, but my first puppy was 12 pounds at 8 weeks old and my second 12 pounds at only 6 weeks old. As the first one grew to 120 pounds, I was (understandably) concerned that the second puppy would grow to an adult of monstrous proportions! But nope, second puppy (who was so much bigger) only grew to 75 pounds as an adult.

Just saying your "runt" may end up bigger than you think! :)

    My Stanley was 2kg at 9 weeks. At 20 weeks he's 12kg.

Still my teeny tiny puppy who people ask if he's around 14 weeks. Nearly get the shock of their life when I say he's coming up 5 months :inlove:

Quinn is 9 months today and weighs 52.4 lbs/23.7kg. She's slowing down considerably and is still quite slim:

I know! I'm still shocked every time I weigh him lol. The vets jaw dropped to the floor when he saw him today. He last saw Axel when he was only 13kg and guessed Axel would be 32kg full grown

Xena at 21 weeks is 15.5 kg. The breeder thought she'd be 30 kg at maturity but I have a really hard time believing that.

Loki is 10 weeks today and weighed exactly 7kg.
How does that compare to your ones at the same age? :)
