I went to a University with an Agricultural College and a Vet school at it. One year the incoming Aggies initiation involved roaming the library with a pizzle that was stuffed and dehyrated and sort of looked like a cane and trying to get as many people (girls preferred) as they could to touch it and try to walk with it using it as a cane. Then they'd laugh with glee when they told the unsuspecting person what it really was and even the boys shrieked. Being a cynic myself and having spent enough time on Grandpa's farm to be suspicious I declined to touch it.

Right along with ya on this one. I read it and instantly my mind went in to the gutter.

I'm vegetarian so I certainly won't be trying Snowie's treats! We do peel his carrots, though -- early on he wouldn't eat them with the skins on, we suspected too bitter (I don't like unpeeled carrots). We still peel them, I suppose habit. But we often comment that if he's prepared to eat human poo, then there's no reason why he shouldn't enjoy just about anything.

My vet said he tasted the Mobiflex (chondroitin glucosamine supplement) and said it was very salty. I was surprised he'd tasted it! Of course my vegetarian prejudice, I'd never taste anything without knowing the ingredients first. But it made me realise that we should be tasting everything that goes into our pets' mouths and knowing exactly what ingredients are going into them -- which is why I feed him raw whole meaty bones and meat. However... as for the bought treats and the stuff he scavenges, well, that's just not going to happen with us and Snowie!

You can bet that Snowie would be glad to test everything that goes past our lips! :D
