Our trainer thinks our two year old rescue lab may have some level of anxiety with new situations, people, and other dogs. Does anyone know of anything I could get to relax him when we will be experiencing something I know will be difficult for him?

Is that your trainer's recommendation? You could ask your Vet. AT Rally trials I met a lady who puts a DAP collar on her dog just for the trip to the venue and the waiting around for her ring time. You can get the diffusers outside a collar. Some people find Rescue Remedy (NOT the candies which contain xylitol) helpful and I have used it with success on a cat. Then your trainer could help you work on desensitizing him to his particular worries, hopefully.

I haven't heard about Dap collar. I'll check that out. Thanks!

Our trainer told us about l-theanine. We've been giving it to Hank for almost two weeks now. She says it takes about two weeks to kick in. We bought the NOW brand. Good luck!
