My lab puppy is doing quite well in the basic training. When she is distracted by another dog or some smell in the woods. She won't pay attention to me. When I see this I don't give any commands and usually stop the lesson. How can I get her to pay attention? Will this subside as she gets more mature. She is only 4 months old and still a puppy.

Hi there. At 4 months she is still really young.
You might be best building up distractions.
Start with easy back garden situations where distraction is low...maybe then same things but with a familiar person around....then a stranger then maybe another dog. Then move up to a more distracting place like a park, then add some distance. Maybe then use a more distracting place like the woods but keeping your puppy close.
There is another post somewhere talking about how dogs don't "generalise". Something learnt in one place isn't necessarily going to work in another place.
It all takes time and consistency and patience.
