Hi everyone, since I changed Tilly's food to royal canine over the months she's put on weight and her anal glands seem to be causing an issue again licking etc they don't look too inflamed at the moment but going to the vets to try get something to soothe it. Also putting her back on burns weight control and it has a lot of fibre in it just feel like I've took a huge step back and shouldn't of changed to canin . It's just a nightmare and if she's not comfortable I don't feel comfortable I've got her an Elizabethan collar ordered just hoping Henry doesn't think it's a toy !!

poor Tilly. Hopefully you've spotted the issue in time for her and she'll soon be comfortable. Why did you want to swap from the Burns Weight Control food? Was that keeping her anal glands healthy? I'm so pleased for you that her depression has lifted x

Oh no, poor girl. At least you are doing something to rectify the problem. I hope she settles back on the old food quickly

My Lola has problems with her anal glands for months, someone suggested feeding her bran flakes for breakfast which I did and the problems have disappeared! She has bran flakes for breakfast and tails.com biscuits for dinner in the evening
