    Definitely don't despair.
Just back from my walk thinking I need to start again from scratch with a new recall.
Lilly (who is six next month) is totally deaf to my recall in the woods if there is any hint of deer to chase. I have never stuck with it long enough to proof around distractions

I love this book! Not only is it full of real, practical help - it is written in an accessible format, it's as though Pippa is in conversation with me.

I wish I'd had it when Will was a pup , he was a great 'joiner' of people - usually when soaking wet.

George is excellent now but I blundered about until I managed to get the message across to him, however, unlike Henry , at least he had been off the lead from the word go so I had a head start.

Henry is doing really well but I am working hard to set him up for success as at 7 months he has only been off the lead for a very short time, ( may the good Lord rot the breeders socks for giving me outdated advice - and mine for taking it!)

Lastly love the idea of Acme products (i.e. the whistle recommended) the only other time I've heard of them is when Wile E Coyote buys them to drop on or blow up Road Runner.

Well were going off to organised recall workshop @ our training classes group on Saturday so he should get plenty of opportunity of being recalled from various situations including he does not know. Hope he does himself proud! Go Barley go!

Can't say how thrilled I am with the book. After 2 solid months of intense training, I used my recall in the forest today and my girl shot like a rocket to me. Impressed. Thanks Pippa for the godsend!

That's the best feeling - closely followed by a fellow dog owner complimenting your dog's recall!
