I'm looking for a simple recipe that I can add crumbled dog treats to. Pongo's bedtime treats are great but they crumble, I always end up with about a fifth of the bag full of tiny little bits that aren't good for anything. I freeze them in ice-cubes in summer, but that doesn't go down so well in this weather! I need a recipe that will reconstitute them as something chunky to give a starving Labrador as a treat....

Rosie, you could mix the crumbled bits into tinned pilchards, a little flour, put into a cake tin and bake for about 10 minutes, cut up into whatever size pieces you want :) x

I save up the crumbs and then mix into kong filling with something sticky like banana or tuna!

Another cheap natural tasty treat without any additives etc. is to buy liver, I managed to buy a big pack of chickens livers for 50p - bargain :), cut them up into pieces, spread them out on baking tray and bake until they dry out. The dogs love them even if I don't like preparing them :puke: This was a tip from @snowbunny :) x
