I want to swicth Rolos food...I was thinking James Wellbeloved or skinners.

I worked out skinners fitted our budget great and seems like a good food.....

But then i noticed it says field and trial? Will this matter that Rolo isnt working or a trail lab ha? Sorry if a silly question..

I'm transitioning Nelly to skinners puppy food currently and she is reacting fine to it. Also, I've been told that the 'working' or 'trial' labelling doesn't really apply to just working or trial dogs. It's a way of the company selling the food for less or something like that. It also might have a bit more protein in it. Don't quote me but it's something along these lines.

Tatze has been on Skinners salmon for 3 years, it's great.

Field & Trial makes it cheaper for some reason, that's all :)

I switched Cassie on to Skinners when she was about 6 months, my trainer uses it, like you I wondered about the "field and trial" thing, but she's been fine on it, after one bag of puppy I started using the Junior and it seems to suit her very well. She seems satisfied by it, is not constantly seeking food or appearing hungry - don't worry though she's a normal lab, can always squeeze in a bit more! People comment on how good she looks, lovely shiny coat and a waist.

Stanley was on James welbeloved but we changed it because it didn't seem to suit him very well, he always had a funny tummy.

My friend with the springador has Mila on it though and she's been fine so I guess all dogs are different :)

Field and Trial is a working dogs' food, thus there is no V.A.T, so it is cheaper :). I fed all my GSPs on Skinners and they lived until 13/14 years. I have the Labs on Arden Grange Lamb and Rice.

Coco is on Skinners Field & Trial - no VAT so cheaper. He seems to like it. It agrees with him.

Hattie & Charlie are on Skinners Salmon and Rice, I get it from Amazon as it's automatic delivery every month and it's free P&P, so I never run out :)
