Good luck with the new car tomorrow and the new cage...so exciting. I expect you and Charlie will be out lots and lots now and I'm sure he will prove how well behaved he can be.....with such love and caring from you, how else could he be ;)

You're doing outstandingly well, which the vet and vet nurse have clearly recognised (and which we knew all along).

Great work on getting him slim while keeping up his muscle tone, avoiding further injury and keeping him calm - you're doing a truly amazing job. :D

Thanks guys! The support from you keeps us going.

Good job Charlie got weighed this morning, he managed to snatch and snaffle half a large pizza tonight. A lightening snatch, grab, run and wolf before anyone could react! Quarter rations tomorrow....little piggy.

Ohhh Charlie!! Brodick sends a High Five Paw of approval. He's done a pizza snaffle too...think it was his favourite counter thievery to date. Innocent faces from both labradors but empty pizza box, we sniffed both muzzles and brods REEKED of garlic and oregano....caught....

Seriously well done with how you are doing with Charlie though. You've got a blooming tough time on your hands but turning things positive as ever, and doing the best for Charlie throughout. He is one lucky ( and pizza full ) Choccie :)

You do so much for Charlie - surely it's not too much to deprive yourself of pizza too until he's off his diet too???! ;)

Oh poor Charlie - I reckon he heard the bit about the measly 5g and decided to take matters into his own hands. I mean, one little snort of excitement about the extra 5g of kibble and he'll have burnt it all off...

You're both doing brilliantly. Stick with it. :D :D :D

How many 5g of kibble = half a large pizza!?! Best not tell the vet nurse, eh?

Poor boy, I think he is really hungry. :( Oh well, not tonight, gone to bed with a tummy full of pizza. ::)

Respect from Obi too. He also says to tell Charlie that people will bring pizza to the house if you type special numbers into your human's phone.

Just caught up on this one. So sorry to hear about poor Charlie. Anyway he's in good hands. Couldn't track down if he's had the op yet?

Thanks David, no, no op yet - the thing that is making this so horribly long and drawn out, more than it would be anyway, is that we are waiting for Charlie's grow plates to close before he has the op. It's planned for 24th Feb, a couple of weeks after the vets estimate the growth plates will have closed. 49 days to go to op...

Although it will be much, much more difficult managing Charlie after the op, at least I'll feel we are on the road to recovery then, rather than waiting for it to begin.

Grandad. On reviewing video evidence, we strongly suspect that Charlie was aided and abetted in the pizza crime. Charlie, however, claims he was acting alone and Grandad must have his pizza ration restored. Hmmmm....
