Well, Miss Maisie is not impressed! I think it is going to take a few weeks for her to accept the pupster, she took one sniff, backed off and kept well out of the little squirts way!

Bless her. Was Lily jumping up at her or was it just that she was unsure?
Harley is used to being around little pups as my dog walker breeds French Bulldogs and they quite often borrow Harley to help with socialisation.

@Naya Lily jumped at her a couple of times and Maisie just backed off and then kept herself away from Lily, Possibly she was just unsure. She's had quite a lot of contact with pups over the summer when we were at cricket games and she was really patient and would often roll over and let the pups walk all over her! She's not keen on being jumped at though. Hopefully over time she will accept her.

Naw look at those little ginger brows! I'm sure she's a right little fire cracker.

Charlie has always adored puppies. He was not at all keen on Betsy though. First, I think the puppies he met when out and about were a little older, and not quite as sure of themselves as an 8 week 'I know no fear' (yet, anyway) puppy. And second, he wasn't so keen on a new dog in 'his' space!

They are best buddies now. Only, I have to tell Charlie to leave Betsy alone when she wants to sleep.:D

So after a couple of weeks Miss Maisie is slowly becoming more tolerant of the pupster.

Aww....I bet they end up loving each other.

I have a lot of sympathy for older dogs meeting new family pups. It was quite tough on Charlie. Bless him, he's a hooligan but also a bit of a Gent - Betsy was an annoying nightmare for months and he waited until she was 6 months old (and lost her puppy licence) to give her a telling off. And boy, she deserved it!

Dynamo on speed! My god she is a whirl wind! So affectionate though. Poor Maisie looks like the old Aunt next to her!!
