Ella says she's not quite sure what Obi's excuse is but she's a girl and she thinks the skirt makes her look pretty

It's true that Obi has never needed an excuse to wear a dress.....

This is such an interesting thread. Oban's breeder studied structure and analysis under the late Casey Gardiner, who ran the School of Canine Science. That was way before the internet was common and I can't find much out about it. She, Oban's breeder, does still do structure diagrams with dots and lines like these for different breeds. I guess I could have asked her to do Oban but from my riding days (and there are some similarities to horses) I can see the glaring reasons Oban would never make it in the show ring.

LOL, love Obi's sporran. My Oban (named for the town in Scotland for those who don't know) says he wants one too.

You are handsome even though your mum dresses you up.
I DO think your Tu Tu dress was better though :D

I stuck some dots on Lilly earlier, knowing of course that she has HD I wasn't sure what this would look like.
I know her back legs are too straight for starters.
I guess I have to read the book.
Is the higher intersection point off the floor because her legs are too long or because her back legs are the wrong angles? Hmmmm...

Her angles at the back are straighter than ideal, yes. I think you might have her dot on her front leg a little far back, and if so, her angles at the front would be wider (straighter) too. But she looks quite balanced, overall - I find her overall pleasing to look at. Lovely and slim!

I am not sure this is meaningful. We join the lines up because it is helpful to demonstrate the angles, but I do not think more than the angles itself it is a measure of anything. Indeed, in the book, the lines are not joined up apart from at first to help people see the angles.

    Thanks Julie
It certainly looks like that in this photo but it won't be any more than a centimetre at most - when I stuck the sticky on her it was not so visible from the side so I did move it a fraction, you are right, so it was more visible.
Yes, she is slim right now......but OH is back  it will be more treats and less walks :(

Hehe, Obi loves his frills. And his sporran.

Lilly looks nice to me. Her back legs are a little straight, but it looks like her back feet are flat in the floor and she's standing on the larger pad at the back of the foot. That's good. With hind legs that are really too straight the larger back pad doesn't contact the floor fully and the dog kind of looks like s/he is in high heels (now, Obi, don't get any ideas...). Lilly doesn't look like that to me, especially with her left hind foot anyway which looks flat on the floor.

Unfortunately I don't think the photo is available to ordinary members. And I'm really interested in this thread and the pics! Need to dot Snowie up and share it. After this everyone will think we're dotty! :p
