As I've trumpeted far and wide, I'm currently looking for my next dog buddy. In addition to breeders, I've also been trolling rescue sites. This girl is billed as a Lab/Boxer mix. What do you think? And how old does she look to you? There is a specific reason I'm asking, but I don't want to tell you until I hear what the general consensus is.

And honestly, this is no "I'm about to get a new puppy" announcement.
Really, when that comes, you will KNOW about it because I won't be subtle. :cancan:

    She's cute :)
She could easily be Lab/boxer, or a multitude of other things. If she is, then I'd say she's young (a few months) because she looks very small. Having said that, she looks like she's fairly well proportioned rather than being a leggy pup, and has some muscle definition at the front, so she may have finished growing and just be small!
I'm rubbish at this kind of thing, though.

I'm just intrigued about the story :)

Let me guess - you were won over by the bandana?

Lab/boxer looks about right to me - I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of staffie in there, as she looks a bit shorter than I would expect a lab/boxer (but this could be age). She looks young - I would say 8-9 months and maybe not a ton more growing to do other than filling out a bit more. Looking forward to finding out more info!

I'll take a very inexperienced stab at it and say Lab/Pitbull mix and judging from the paws about 10 months. I'll be curious to know how totally wrong I am!

Wow, I was thinking much younger - 5 months? She is definitely a cutie-pie! Can certainly see Lab and Boxer in there, although she doesn't look really tall but that could be her age.

I would say there's some staffie in there too. From the fur and the markings.

    She's lovely though

Looks just like a lab/pit bull...I would have thought a bit short to be a lab/boxer?

Or lab cross staffie? She does look a bit puppyish with those paws though..

I'd say pit bull / boxer mix. I suspect lots of rescue sites call mixed breed puppies labrador crosses (when they are making a guess).

Would agree there is staffie in there, the bandy front legs are very staffie. As for age, I can't tell, could be anything from 6 months to 2 years.

    Lab/boxer/staffie?

She's a lovely girl and her head is all Lab!

I'd say that the head does look like a Labrador - the ears, snout, jowls, stop and eyes are very similar in shape to a Lab, and the body looks more similar to a Staffie than anything else. There isn't much to suggest boxer tbh.

Just to be different I will guess Lab and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, about 6 months old. :)

I was persuaded by the lab/boxer until I saw the front picture and there is definitely more staffie look in there.
    Looks very cute.

A blind test on Sophie (who knows her breeds) said staffie/pit bull cross with lab.
    Age indeterminate

The head is all Lab (her profile!) but she reminds me of the little Staffie girl in my obedience class. I also don't see Boxer in there, but I don't see Newfie in Simba so just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there!

Whatever, she is adorable and I would have her in a heartbeat. She has a quizical expression and looks a little lost. As for the Staffie connection that others think, my Lab is purebred, but my daughter always says his head is a little Staffie!
