Hi folks, thought you might like my tale of my new pup Lucy that came home yesterday lunch time.
Perfect hours drive home, straight out for a pee & poo, ravenous and cleared her bowl then straight to sleep in her brand new crate. Night time, bed at 11pm, 5 mins of crying the slept until 5.45am.
She is now snuggled up on my lap while we wait for breakfast time.
    Am I lucky or what?
    Will it all change?
Trying to see how to add a photo, no luck.

    Me too.
It's nice to know we new owners are not alone out there.

I have a Lucy who came home on Wednesday- she has been very good too, maybe there's something in the name! I think she is finding her feet now though and we are going to see her true personality appear- there may be trouble ahead!

Lovely. Molly slept well downstairs in her crate from day 1, it does happen! Although I wonder if sleeping in the same room as the cats helped :)

    Well done!

Betsy was the same - no trouble at all. Slept through, no crying, problem free.

Ideal start. Bailey slept through from day one too - to be honest I was the one that kept waking up to check on him! He continued and still loves to sleep! Enjoy the cuddles, they make everything else bearable! Good luck with uploading the photo's - we all love puppy pics :D

I remember those first few puppy days like they were yesterday. Time flies and they grow so quickly. Enjoy and savour every moment.

First full day coming to an end.
So far she barks to tell me she wants to go potty and sits patiently by the door, then once outside she performs before chasing the odd leaf or two. Not a single puddle (yet) and when she is tired she snuggles up onto my lap.
    This can't last can it?
I'm on edge waiting for the first disaster....
Almost hope she would have a slip up. (Not really)

Sounds wonderful - you're off to a good start! We're getting our puppy in about 2 weeks and I really hope things go as well for us.

Sounds great Kingsley. Don't wait for disaster to strike, just enjoy and embrace the 'now.' And relish those snuggles

What a smart little pup!! You are lucky for sure.

Archie did really well when he was that little too. He didn't have any accidents until we got a little too complacent and let down our guard with him after a week or so of awesomeness. I'd say that you will want to not repeat our mistake :)

Enjoy the cuddles! That crocopup is only a few weeks away!

    Second night.
Would not settle in my bedroom but rather slept a full 7.30 hours in the kitchen then straight out to 'oblige' just now.
    Still no puddles.....
But I think 'crocopup' is already here.
    Can't have everything I guess.

Good girl, Lucy! If the undisturbed nights continue that will help you cope with the daytime crocopup, etc!
