Fur fun

    Thought it'd be fun (and, ok, maybe slightly odd) to see some fur close ups to illustrate the variety out there. Doesn't have to be Labradors.

    Here's Obi, getting the ball rolling for the Yellow Labrador brigade :)

    Obi looks a darker yellow to megs. Will have to take close up photo. Look at the shine on Charlies coat, wonderful.

    Obi reminds me of a beautiful wheat field rippling in the sunshine :)

    And Charlie just makes me want chocolate - YUM !!!

    They both look silky soft x

    We've noticed that in the summer, his fur tends to bleach out a bit, you can see that here in that lighter patch. Does Charlie's fur do that too, Julie?

    Not so far, even though last summer was very sunny. I've seen pictures of it on other dogs though and people ho show their dogs worry about it - I have seen some suncreen sprays online that claim to protec against it.

    my photo was just black fur. Will need to experiment to get the right focus :D

    All gorgeous....I wouldn't have identified Charlie by his colour though just his shine :D...he looks lighter in your pic Julie.
    Dexter is just in his crate at the mo.....AC problems this week now ??? I'll post when he comes out x

    I think that was just a bit of a rubbish iPad pic - I'll try get a better one when I have my proper camera with me.

    Lovely pantaloons, Dexter! :D

    I think the challenge is to capture shine on a yellow. Angela has noted some time ago that they are actually shiny - and they really are! Just in a subtle way :)
