Recently (8 weeks ago) got a pup. It was a rescue female which we were told was a lab cross but that was a guess as it was left with shelter on its own with no history. She is now over 4 months, happy and healthy and on the smaller than average size. No markings etc to indicate what she is mixed with. Personally she looks lab to me but her ears look a bit small and are usually more back than I would expect of a full lab. Will try to upload some photos.

p.s. this site and forum are excellent. Hav been lurking since before we got the pup and the advice gas been a god send.

Boogie, I don't know how to upload a photo, but she is the image of your black lab.

There, I fixed your picture for you. Welcome to the forum from me, Willow and Shadow in Spain.

    What is your girl's name?

I think sometimes rescues say "cross" just because they have no proof of pedigree. She's lovely :)

She's beautiful! Congratulations to you (and also to her for landing in such a good place out of the shelter)!

Oh she is lovely....looks lab to me, very similar ears to Bramble. They don't flop down, but slightly smaller and sit slightly back on the head. :)

Aww she's lovely whatever she is, though she does look quite "Labby". Hello and welcome from Coco & me on the Isle of Man.

Her name is Eevee. That's the name she was given when found and we didn't feel any need to change it. For those of you young enough apparently it's a Pokémon Character. I'm on the wrong side of 40 to have watched pokemon.

Thanks Angela, she gets lots of comments about how shiny she is when we're out and about. No doubt that will change once she realises how much fun mud is!

I think we have washed her twice so far (dog shampoo) just to freshen her up. I think I will need to get a bigger towel as she takes a lot to dry (she's not fussed on the washing bit either).
