Re: How much does your puppy weigh? One thing that these weights seem to show is that some dogs are just 'naturally' lighter than others. So if you take all the dogs that weighed around 9-10kg at ten weeks (including Pongo) and just look at how they have grown, they are all on nearly exactly the same curve. The same if you look at all the dogs who were around 6kg at ten weeks - they are all still very similar as they get older. I think this really demonstrates that you can't talk about the 'right' weight for your dog - some are always going to be naturally lighter and some naturally heavier. I know this is what we all know already, but it's nice to see it being borne out by the facts! Rosie (turning into a bit of an anorak, I know....)

Re: How much does your puppy weigh? Amber was approx 7kg at 8 weeks. Now 16 weeks and 12.5kg. Deliberately keeping a nice waist on her and trying not to let her grow too fast for the good of her joints. Happy with a growth rate of between 0.5 and 1kg a week (paranoid new grad vet owner).
Re: How much does your puppy weigh? Figured out the weight thing at home. Few minutes trying to get her in the scale before I remembered that helpful hint about weighing yourself then yourself plus puppy then doing the math! Holly comes in at 9kg at 13 weeks. That chart is really good to see.
Re: How much does your puppy weigh? Ash is now 10 weeks and weighed 9.8kg at his 2nd vaccinations last night. Think he's going to be a big boy. He's from field champion working stock (but will just be our family pet) so I'm assuming that has something to do with his weight.
Re: How much does your puppy weigh? Albert now 21 weeks and weighs approx 19.5 kg. That is with OH on scales first, then with Albert, who was a bit wriggly and heavy! Will get him weighed at vets next time I'm there. Jan
