Hi I aquired our puppy in September 2015 froma local farm,we were informed that his dad was a collie and his mum was a lab, we met the mum who was a cholate colour.
Now over 12 months later I am wondering if there is any collie in him, he looks more lab/staffie cross. If i post a coupe of photos here, could I have your opinions of this please.

I agree he has a staffie-look about him now he's grown up, in the shape of his head. He's a real beauty. What is his name? How was/is he with his training?

I do see a little bit of Collie in him. I think it's the facial features.

    Either way - he's lovely :)

I have no idea, I am rubbish at this game ;)
You know, you can buy DNA tests pretty cheaply that may give you some clue.

Whatever he is he's gorgeous. I don't see Collie or Staffie. The mouth isn't Staffie at all. Maybe he is pure Labrador :) x

his name is Shadow, he was pretty good at training, had very few accidents on the carpet and none after 12 weeks old. he started to cock his leg to wee after about 6 months but that seems to have partially stopped after we had him castrated.

He is really good off the lead, we only live 100m from the river, so a brief walk on the lead when he still pulls like crazy but once we get to the river and i let him off he is really good, he is really easy to get back on the lead on the way home and he walks nice and calm.

I might do the DNA test when i have £60 spare

Honestly wouldn't say pittie or staffie in there. I've seen a lot of those mixes being a foster mom and there's just nothing there to my eyes. He does have a lovely muscly build, which first made me think maybe a bit of Rottie (hey, I'm always looking for those!) but that head of his has zero Rottie, so it's more likely he's just a big muscly boy. If anything, I do see the collie in the triangular shape of his head/set of the ears in the first pic - and the crazy tongue action which all collies seem to have. :D

He's gorgeous, no matter the mix!

I would say he's Lab x Collie. He's got the labs muscular body but the set of his ears and his slightly pointy nose give away the collie.

    He's lovely! :)
