She was quite comfortable in the car... image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr Shes not impressed with the muddy garden.... image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr She is fairly happy with her crate... image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr She'd rather be out with everyone else.. image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr Shes already discovered the sofa... image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr I think it has been a success so far. Shes only had one accident in the kitchen when i was upstairs and my husband wasnt paying attention! I am going to change her over from beta puppy to skinners field and trial puppy over the next week or so. Quick question... If she settles asleep on the floor outside of her crate, should i lift her in and shut the door or let her sleep wherever she wants? Bearing in mind she will be crated at night and when left...
Re: Maisies here! Gorgeous look forward to meeting her I will PM you about popping over after training in the next week or two x
Re: Maisies here! I just put her in her crate whilst we were eating our tea, she cried for about 2 minutes and then zonked out! Im hoping she does that tonight!
Re: Maisies here! Delicious puppyness! Congrats to you all, and good luck! Hope the first night goes well....
Re: Maisies here! Right I think the first night went well. Last wee at 11pm. There was about 10 mins of whining, I went aback downstairs with murphy (who had stowed away in our bedroom) and sat by her crate for about 2 mins and then she went to sleep. Sorted! I set my alarm for 2am being optimistic. Unfortunately we were woken up at 1am, but not by Maisie! Ezra was barking his head off and clearly very agitated and set murphy off barking too. I couldn't hear any noise from Maisie but she was then awake so I thought id just take her out then and she went for a wee along with murphy and ez. Put her back in her crate, a few half hearted whimpers and then silence so I set my alarm for 4am. She then woke me at 3 so 2 hours later. And I let her out for a wee. And then I think I set my alarm for 5am but iv got a feeling there was no noise when my alarm went off so I left her to see how long shed last and I eventually went down at quarter to 7. I half think I may have let her out a time inbetween but I can't remember! Anyhow I think it was successful as not much whining in all and no accident in crate. Everytime I took her out she literally took 2 steps and then weed so she knew exactly what she was out for. She had her last dinner at about 9 pm but didn't poo till this morning and did a huge one! Is that normal?
Re: Maisies here! Sounds like a pretty good first night Frankie...I can't answer your poop question ,she seems to have held it a long time but I think it's too early to be seeing a pattern in these things ...might just have been beginners luck!!keep an eye on her and you'll start to get to know her routine over the next couple of days ...is it weird going back to this puppy stage again? ;D she is so cute x
Re: Maisies here! She looks lovely. Sounds as if it's all started well too. Is that a crate mat in the first photo?
Re: Maisies here! Yea 8 weeks. After her breakfast she went for another wee, had a little play and then fell asleep on my lap, so i put her back in her crate and we all had nother hours sleep! And then it was me who then went down and took her out with no noise fromher at all. Im really pleased so far but it is definateky too early days to know if this is normal or not! Murphy is a bit playful with her but not as much as i thought he would be but I guess he is just getting used to her being here. Last night she went to sleep on him on the sofa! image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr image by Fwhitt246, on Flickr

Re: Maisies here! She's lovely! At that age, Willow often went through till morning without having a poo. She didn't really poo much at all, so don't worry. Lovely doggy cuddles pics!
