Re: Update on Spero Oh my! That's the best news ever. So very, very, kind of you Naya to give this boy a foster home and a help along his journey. I hope that kindness comes back around to you one day.
Re: Update on Spero Thank you for all your lovely comments . If Harley gets on well with him we will consider adopting him.....just want to see how it goes before committing and messing him around. Here is a photo which was taken recently Spero by ternayacummings, on Flickr
Re: Update on Spero Great looking dog. Well, see how it goes, but it's lovely that he has got at least a foster home with you - kind people for him to go to, that's lovely.
Re: Update on Spero This is wonderful!! Well done, Naya. Everything crossed for a happy ending for you all
Re: Update on Spero Oh well done Ternaya, hes a lovely looking boy ,I really hope it works out ,is he about 2 weeks off being able to travel? X
Re: Update on Spero Thanks for the photograph Naya, he looks such a handsome but somewhat sad boy. He will have to make so many adjustments, one being the language I imagine; however, I am sure with time and patience with regard for what he must be feeling, he will turn out to be the most perfect pet. I am already in love with him I am so glad you are fostering him and hopefully keep him.
Re: Update on Spero He is a handsome boy - I've seen a short video of him with the dogs and he has a very waggy tail and loves attention. I too fell in love with him by his photos . We know it will take time for him to adjust, and we are prepared to put in lots of work. He was due to fly over on 24th/25th April but the airlines in France are going on strike then and have several other strike days planned. The rescue centre are trying to arrange his flight and will let me know - hopefully be around beginning of May
Re: Update on Spero What lovely happy news , so pleased for you Ternaya , I know first had what rewards you reap , he is lovely
Re: Update on Spero Thank you Kate. I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions when we get him (and before I expect) Thank you again for all you kind comments and a massive thank you to Karen for starting this journey for me and my family x
Re: Update on Spero I am so pleased. The dogs from that pound tend to be very friendly and well-socialized. Over Easter I spent some time with a different foster dog that my sister has taken on - Bandit the Jura hound. I quite fell in love with him, too! It will definitely be a challenge, both for you Naya, your family and Harley, and for Spero too, but likely more because he hasn't had much training rather than an inability to get on with dogs or people. Cant wait for him to be able to fly to his new foster home! 8)
