    I saw this on FB.
It is just awful but I think we have discussed before what a foolish thing leaving your dog tied up outside a shop is.

"We're supposed to live in a world where you can leave a dog outside the shop for a few minutes.
"My relationship with Tilly was like having a child."

Would you leave your toddler outside a shop?
Her owners must be gutted, and I guess carry some guilt too.
So so sad for the poor dog :'( :'( :'( :'(

    Psychopaths.

Hurting animals is an indicator that a person is a psychopath. They will be doing it to people next.

    :( :'(

I hate seeing it too. They mostly look worried and I really feel sorry for them.

Re: WARNING: AWFUL, TERRIBLE, TRAGIC "Labrador snatched and murdered"

I saw one tied outside a Tesco metro in Clapham yesterday. I was stuck in a traffic jam, so watched it for about 10 mins.

To be fair to the owner, I should think he could see the dog the whole time he was in the small store. The dog didn't look miserable or worried. He was a youngish looking golden retriever.

What he did though, was jump up and mug everyone walking into the store! He was tied on a longish lead at the top of a ramp by the door. An elderly couple took sometime to get passed, with the woman looking a bit unsteady on her feet and reluctant to engage with the dog. The old chap distracted it in the end with some ear rubs and a fuss so his wife could get passed.

All in all, I think the dog enjoyed himself, and people were wonderfully kind to him. Definitely not something I would do though.

Whilst this is a horribly tragic event, and the yobs that did this don't deserve to be called human (I'm all for doing to them what they did to the poor dog) a lesson should be learnt here that is repeated far too often - don't leave your dog unattended! Whether it be tied up outside a shop or waiting in your car.

I've seen stories where thugs have broken into someone's home and held the owners at knifepoint to steal their dog, so it's no surprise people will readily take a tied up, unattended dog from outside a shop.

That is appalling. A useful reminder to us all NEVER to leave our dogs unattended, sad though that is.
