Greetings all from Co. Clare in the West of Ireland. I'm Ciaran, and together with my wife and our seven year old son we're expecting to take responsibility for our new puppy sometime over Christmas/New Year (An accident of timing, I assure you.).
I/We have so many questions and queries that I reckoned it was better to make the introductions now and add photos of the bundle of fur when the time comes. Watch this space :D

Hi there from Dexter and I in Dubai...waiting for Christmas will be extra exciting for your family this year .....you are so lucky to have found Pippa's Site and the Forums before your pup arrives....I wish I had ;D
It would be worth investing in Pippas The Happy Puppy Handbook....she hadn't written it when we got Dex!

Hello from Willow, Shadow and us less-important humans here in Andorra. I can second getting the Happy Puppy Handbook. I read it twice before our little arrival and it's been a real help. Also, read as many of the articles on the main site (www.thelabradorsite.com) as you can. Loads of invaluable - not to mention free! - information on there.

Thank you all so much for your kind words of welcome. I've just ordered the Puppy Handbook and the Recall book too. Hopefully they'll get here in reasonable time ;-)
I'm delighted to have found this site and I've been devouring articles and reading threads far too late into the night. Such good information presented in an easily accessible style.
