Ah bless her 'Hoppy Poppy!" sorry Karen,I'm only teasing because she seems to be on the mend x I know you will have had a rotten week with her being poorly, glad she's seeming a bit better x
She's feeling very sad this evening. She was so pleased with herself this morning - she'd managed to get the bandage off again! But the vet says she needs it bandaged for at least a week, to prevent infection. We went for a little walk and it seems to be hurting again - she is hiding in her bed and hasn't even come to ask for food...
Oh Karen, I am so so sorry , it must be heart breaking for you , paws are just the devils own to heal , big hugs for you and get well wishes for dear Poppy xx
Oh poor girl. Is she any happier with the bandage off in the house if you are watching her? Is it something you could take off for a while if she is in a clean place? Even if she has to lie on the sofa or something....
I know Julie, I am dithering about it. I want to take the bandage off, but the vet said no... OH says no.. Poppy says yes. We are at a stalemate.
Poor Poppy, she really doesn't like the bandage by the sound of it. Think it may be a long week as you try to keep the paw clean, dry and bandaged and Poppy endeavours to remove it
I am sitting at the kitchen table - Pops was sulking in her bed. As a test I rattled her bowl - she came hobbling in, ate supper and has now jumped up on the bench next to me for a cuddle. I think she's ok (though upset by the bandage). Oh, and she shrieked when OH got a bit close to her foot, though I am allowed to pick her paw up and coo over her... I think that she is both in some discomfort, and at the same time a bit of a drama queen...
I think she's entitled to be, she's had quite a week poor girl but she'll soon back to her happy self, after lots of spoiling and cuddles
