Right - I'm inspired now! Am going to get hold of Lucy the Labrador and create a Pongo version for my new (4 day old) grandson. And if that goes well, will start producing some more to sell for GDs or Dogs for the Disabled! @Boogie - let's compare notes on how they come out?

@Lucy - this is such a great idea! I wish I could crochet because I think your one looks just adorable.... maybe I'll learn just so I can try it (after I've knitted one)....

That's the nice thing about toy patterns - they are essentially just a big, continuous long line worked in a spiral. The pattern is circular :)

    Thanks Helen :)
Lily has had the flu for over a week, so she's (understandably) quite fed up and grumpy. I think we are coming to the tail end of it now though, hopefully! I need to crochet new toys faster by way of distraction...

Poor Lily how horrible for her but glad to hear she and you are nearly through it. I find it difficult when my children (not so tiny now!) are ill :( but not if you have crochet Labradors to help cheer you up! :) xx

Now I'm even more confused on crochet work -spirals? Is that for real? Think I'll stick with my knitting needles :)

Can't start knitting at the moment due to my course work, but will set to asap and happy to pass them on for GD fund raising. They look as if they will be fun to knit :D

Going to have a rummage around my yarn box - I am going to have a go at the crochet (even though I am still half way through knitting socks and have been for a year  )

Oh dear, I seriously could not crochet anything if my life depended on it.

But thankfully, there is a solution to that. @Lucy, can you do me a chocolate one with a red collar? I need it for my Dad's birthday, but that's not for a while. I'll email you too.
