Hee hee, me too.... I'm not sure quite how she'll turn out! (I'm reading the bit on the instructions about "folding the ear in an L-shape to give the distinctive labrador look" and can't figure out what on earth it is talking about. Hoping all will be clear once I've actually knitted the ear and looked at it...)
I hope that's a proper otter tail you've knitted there! Gosh, so talented. Wouldn't know where to start (well, I do, and I did - Lucy is making me a baby Charlie for my Dad's birthday! ).
The Amazing Technicolour Labrador is nearly finished - just got to give him a collar and a mouth. I'm not convinced he would get very far on the Crufts show bench, but he is a friendly-looking little chap. @JulieT , I couldn't get him to stand stacked, otherwise I'd have put some dots on him for you. I'm afraid he'll never be an agility champion, his angulation is dreadful.
Lessons I learned.... I didn't stuff the head firmly enough. When you do the mouth you sort of tie it into the back of the head so it holds the shape of the muzzle nicely...but that only works if the whole head is pretty firmly stuffed. By the time I figured that out it was too late to add any more stuffing. And I think I stuffed the arms and legs too firmly - he looks a bit stumpy. Do labradors get fat legs? And the tail is really long - I think a bit too long - if I do another I'll be inclined to only do 10 rows initially rather than the 14 that are in the pattern. Maybe only 8. And I found the collar was waaaayyyy too long for his neck - I re-did it with 26 stitches rather than 32 and that worked much better. But it might have been that my tension was all wrong.

Aww who cares whether you think he looks too stumpy or his tail too long, he is lovely and a one off. He definitely would not chew the furniture! Swap you Arthur !!!!
His ears remind me of something. Yes, Shaun the sheep. OMG! I cannot believe it! We have fallen for a Lambie trick again! Now we are KNITTING parts of the network to supply to our dogs. First camels, now knitted and crochet Labradors (with slightly sheep like limbs and ears). Is there no end to this?
