    Hi

We met mum & dad today, both gorgeous. They are both working gun dogs and come from a line of field champions, I've never seen such well trained dogs, really quite amazing to watch!

Watching the parents of my two training is what inspired me to do some gun dog stuff. They're trained in a very different way, because the breeder is more traditional and I went down the positive reinforcement route, but I'm not sure I'd have thought about it at all had I not seen them in action. It's definitely inspiring to see a well-trained dog, and something I hope to emulate one day :D

They are both trained using positive reinforcement, blimey I'd be ecstatic if I can get a whistle recall half as good as what i watched today.

That's great! Will the breeders introduce the whistle at an early age? Mine got used to the whistle as soon as they started weaning, to indicate mealtimes, and also when they were all having a hooley and chasing after the breeder. Their puppy recall to the whistle was amazing. Of course, it all went to pot when they reached adolescence, but it certainly helped me along the way :)
