I think that was how Wolves first became domesticated, by eating the human poo and other rubbish around the human habitations :$

HaHa - I don't know, @Lisa! My dog has never eaten poo, or found it.

Indeed, I think I have a mis-programmed Labrador. I've just come in from playing with Charlie in the garden and on my way back in, saw several dead small birds (perhaps birds that didn't make it through the first few days out of the nest). Charlie had been fetching his dummy from around this area, and had completely ignored all of them...(which makes me worry about his prospects of being a gundog, but does indicate he is not terrible interested in dead things either!).

Have to say I've never come across human poo walking with any of our dogs either in the UK or France

Hehe, in general, it will be hidden behind a tree, out on a hike, obviously when someone has been "caught short" a long way from home. The ground is mostly very hard rock, so not possible to dig a hole. It does make me cross when people make no effort to cover it with stones etc, but I suppose they just think, it's OK, a Labrador will be along shortly to clean it up...

Harley turns her nose up at dead birds, rats and fish. She has a sniff then turns her nose up and walks off with a very funny look as if to say 'yuck, that's vile'

Ok..please don't think bad of me...I was walking Belle one morning, on a path that is very open and can have a few other walkers on. This day, there was no-one. Now I do suffer with IBS and at this time I was often given little notice of needing to go. Suddenly, I had to go, NOW! I left the path, scampered down the slope, and had to relieve myself behind the single, large rocky outcrop. As I pulled my jeans back up, what do I see behind me... Belle scoffing as much as she could. How I didn't vomit I'll never know.:poop:

    I'm on day 96, don't you know!

I thought that and  might be quite appropriate for some of the summer walks that are going to be going on soon. :sun:

Well confessed @edzbird. I could never understand why there would be human poo outside, but had a friend with IBS and she explained why. Well, at least Belle tidied up for you :D

Well @edzbird you are not alone, think my OH has made use of the outside facilities on occasion. Always has loo roll somewhere in his car. Never a poop bag though

Well I don't have IBS but I do have memories of a dodgy chinese meal followed by getting stuck in motorway standstill traffic on the way home. OH was driving. My only option was motorway verge in full view of three lanes of traffic. You are soooooooo not alone... at least Belle was a beneficiary!
