It seems that you can build up the value of them very effectively - because you can use them for tug, for fetch, they float, you can roll them etc. I've seen vids of very high energy tug (we won't be doing that though). So sort of all in one toys. Which will save my bag space. Charlie, toy obsessive dog that he is, will love them. Plus, I like that they are different from other things, so make my reward cues clearer.
I think you always use them in pairs so you can get one back! At least, that'll be the case with Charlie!

I was looking at him using one of these earlier with his retrieve training, and thinking I might get one. You beat me to it! Where did you get yours?
They're made from "foamed polymer", whatever that means! Apparently, they will show the indentation marks from dogs' teeth quick quickly, which makes me think if they were left alone with it, power chewers might be able to destroy them. But they're not chew toys, they're training aids/toys, so I think if you use them in that way, you'll be fine.
even as a training aid it might be a problem for mister trex teeth. He punctures a football at one touch and has a gape like a tasmanian tiger

Wish you lot would stop posting all these fab training toys! I used to get excited about jewellery, or a nice pair of shoes....now I can't wait to buy a rubber ring for a dog!
