Just wondered if all labs are lickers / sloppy kissers?! Bella loves a good licking/ kissing- she always licks people/ kisses them with a full on tongue wipe when she can get close preferably the face , but she also likes to show affection licking jeans/ trousers/ shoes/ hands. if someone bends down to put shoes on then watch out the face licking brigade is there She also likes licking random things, car seats, cushions, rugs, seat belts?!?!!? What's that all about?!?!
Charlie is pretty bad - he goes for the human ear at every opportunity. For no other reason, I think, than he enjoys it when people squirm and scream.
YEP she loves a good foot and toe lick and if you've just been for a run or in the shower she goes into over drive
Shadow is a licker. Especially after meals, he has to come and lick my hands, every time. I don't know if he's just testing to see if there are any crumbs left on my hands, but I like to think of it as him thanking me for a delicious meal He also has a habit of sitting upright next to me on the sofa, staring at me very seriously, then leaning over and, very slowly, licking the whole side of my face from chin to forehead.
Lucan's favourite is licking Hubby's bald head when he bends down to change his shoes. It's not really appreciated by Hubby but I find it highly amusing!
Riley doesn't lick at all! Luckily I have a spaniel to make up for this plus total kiss fests with chocolate Charlie every now and then
Lilly isn't a greatly licky dog, much to my husbands disappointment (his old lab was an expert foot licker) but I do remember one time having one of the Body Shop Body Butters that she was obsessed with licking off my legs
Simba isn't much of a licker, except one of the "welcome home" rituals is to lick my hands while I'm petting him and he's dancing around in fevered excitement
When we got Obi (9 months old) he was a very enthusiastic licker of people (not choosy about body part/location). We weren't so keen so we approached it the same way we would approach biting in a puppy - we turned and walked away if he licked. If he didn't lick he got attention. I should add that he was also very mouthy at this time (quite firm biting of hands etc) and we were trying to put an end to all this kind of thing. Anyway, it worked well. In the last few months (aged 4) he's become a bit licky again when greeting people (kind of just flaps his tongue at hands) but because he's definitely not mouthy anymore we don't worry about the licking.
I fell over again on saturday and Rory saw it a a good oppotunity to jump on me and lick my ears. In the end I just lay on the floor laughing while he thought it was a great game, Midge just pretended she was with someone else not us fools. It just one of those times that i just though I'll just stay here for a bit
Fred isn't called Freddie the flirt for nothing, he loves to have an good lick Annie does too, but just the family
My son in law just posted a video on his facebook page of Henry licking my daughters face and I can be heard quite clearly in the background saying - 'You'll get Hepatitis he's just licked his backside!'
Coco is a foot-licker. OH loves it. It turns my stomach because I hate feet (human feet that is). @lynnew
