Part time clicker training

    No, you are doing fine. The clicker is a training tool to establish behaviours etc that you want from your dog, so yes you should fade out the clicker once you are happy that you have a behaviour on cue but maintain a 'schedule of reinforcement' as the professionals say - praise and the odd treat from us. So for say 'sit' you would click and treat each time to begin with, then add your cue for sit and c&t, gradually dropping the click and maintain the treat then phase out the treat with the odd treat for a sit.
