Sleep is overrated Plus, when you have Shadow Pointy Elbows sharing a desperately uncomfortable inflatable mattress with you, going to bed late and getting up early seems like the more attractive proposition!
It is so fantastic, Fiona! Just gorgeous! And I have to say one of the best parts in the whole thing is that fence - the dogs are safe and you don't have to worry about them. Perfect! Thanks for the pics, I can't wait to see how it gets better and better!
How exciting for all of you Reminds me of our first home in France , in 1996, uninhabited for donkeys years, no services etc . but so rewarding and such fun , you will love it I`m sure and as for the dogs , heaven
About 38m Thinking about it, this is probably another reason the dogs went loopy. They seem to love it when we travel to low altitude to give them a run around. I'm sure the thicker air must feel amazing to them
I'm sorry, sorry, I have to say this.....I can imagine a time - some time away - when Fiona is wafting about her Spanish farm, probably wearing white linen and a floppy hat, with her beautiful dogs trotting at heel, waving to extremely good looking Spanish young men who are picking her almonds, and olives, no doubt dropping off delicious produce on their way home at her rustic - but very stylish - home behind it's white washed wall.... But OMG! In the meantime THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER, LET ALONE HOT WATER, NO ELECTRICITY, NO GAS, NO BEDS, NO KITCHEN, NO BATHROOM, NO TOILET AND WORST OF ALL HORRORS NO INTERNET. THE PLACE IS FULL OF BUGS AND SNAKES AND SHE HAS TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR! AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY HAS TO CUT DOWN THE TREES HERSELF! So much as I admire her, and am sure that it will all be worth it, this looks like my worst nightmare! Hats off, bow down to Fiona for taking it on!
Well, yes, with the addition of large amounts of Gin/Sparkling wine......thank god she's taken up alcohol again, that's all I can say!
Haha, at one point, as I was dripping with sweat, covered in minor scratches and lugging branches that I'd chopped with an axe in my own fair hands, I looked at myself and said to hubs, "I don't think I'm a real girl at all..." I love this kinda shizz
Looks fantastic Fiona, great photos. I'd be in my element apart from the heat Will be great watching the progress over time.
How far are you from Andorra? 38m is a little low for Skiing. Do you have Cell service. We do a hotspot for internet at our cabin.
