The new place is 3 hours from Andorra. We'll still be in Andorra for the winters, and using the farm the rest of the time. If it gets too hot down there at any point, we'll come back up to Andorra. It's a really easy drive, so we can pick and choose where we want to be, depending on the weather. There is mobile (cell) service there, yes, but we need to arrange Spanish contracts. Another thing on the list. Our Andorran contracts don't have 3G - we're a bit backwards when it comes to that. Once we have electricity to the house, we'll be using wimax for our internet.
Wow! Good for you, a huge undertaking but what an adventure. Def book material there. Will keep checking back to check when the guest accommodation is ready to rent..... The dogs look as though they're in heaven xx
I've been talked into creating a blog. We'll see how long that enthusiasm lasts. It's not as if I don't have a few other things to fill my time with! I'm sure my parents will be the only ones interested in reading it, so I'm not going to stress too much about it.
I know you don't like sheep, but you never know! Actually they can be very intellegent and loving! However, goats would be more useful eatinb up all your scrub!
Exactly. She's done it now. They'll be in their isolated Spanish farmhouse (with plywood for a door) and one dark night there'll be a baaaa outside, and another, and another......no phone, no near neighbours, all alone....
Fiona, have you ever seen the movie 'Black Sheep'? A pretty accurate portrayal of your future, I would've thought. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/black_sheep/
Fiona, I am full of respect and wonder! I've been wingeing about how busy I am, but am feeling humbled and ungrateful now!!! It looks fab... You go for it!!! Just one question - no water... How are you going to have a swimming pool?
My son (who studied archaeology) says that the bones of sheep and goat are virtually identical. In archaeological speak, they are called sheepgoats.
