Poor Casper has a bit of an ear infection. The lad was shaking his head and looking mournfully at me this morning, so off we all to the trot to the vets. He doesn't really mind the vets, pee'ed all over their greeting card display and duly barked his head off at all the other dogs. Usual stuff with Casper.
Anyhow, I am armed (literally) with a full sardine treat toob, no one likes their ears being examined do they? So,lovely vet lady kneeling on the floor, using a scope to look into Caspers ears, I am happily squeezing his toob....when it shoots all over the floor, over hubby, and shock horror in her hair! I try not to stare....goodness knows what she was saying, I haven't a clue.
Casper was happy, engrossed in cleaning the floor.
    He loves his treat toob!
Apparently he has antibiotic ear drops and we have to clean his ears every other day. Follow up next Saturday :)

The treat toobs are fab. Casper sees the toob as very high value. So, in a tricky position, a surprise dog/bike etc I am not prepared for, the toob itself works a bit like a visual marker. He turns his head to accept the toob, and he then has to focus to get his sardine treat.

When she realised ,I bet she was backtracking her day to think who the culprit was!

Err yes...(my poor aim is legendary in some parts...:) )

Casper isn't shaking his head today, and lots more comfortable. The vet said we had caught the infection very early, so fingers crossed it sorts itself out soon. The really good news is when she checked his chest, she commented his lungs were normal, considering how ill he was that is fantastic! :)
