Hello all! I'm obviously introducing myself and Wrigley because we're new to this forum. I got Wrigley 3 weeks ago at the ripe young age of 10 weeks. Read through every single page of the will it ever end section yesterday and it makes me feel so much better. I've been consistent with training, play and walks. But my hands are tore up! It made me feel good to know that this will pass. He's growing at such a fast rate! At the first vet visit he was 19.5 lbs. Tomorrow is his second training class and Monday is his second vet visit. We'll see how much he weighs then. He's gone on 3 short swims already and brings so much joy to my life. BUT I work from home all day and my husband doesn't. I feel like every time my husband has to watch him Wrigley is sleeping and he doesn't see what I go through every day. We also have a 7 yr. old lab who can't stand Wrigley right now. But our trainer is coming to our house tomorrow to help us with that. All advice and support you have is encouraged and welcome. Thanks! I wanted to make his pic my avatar, but it was too big and I don't even have the energy to figure out how to make the file size smaller. LOL
Hi and welcome to you and Wrigley and your 7 year old lab, from me and soon to be 1 year old Dexter. What is your older labs name? I also work from home and know exactly what you mean, lol. Believe me, it does get better, much much better.
Aww, one of each, lovely. Puppy's are lovely but even lovelier once they stop the bitey stage. I use to wear the same couple of outfits so that I didn't have too many with holes in. Dexter was worse to me than anyone else, I was his personal tugg toy for what seemed like ages. I had shoulder surgery 3 weeks after we got him, not due to him, and couldn't get him off my sleeve. I was bruised and battered. So glad when I could finally calmly put him in his crate for time out using both arms. It's all a distant memory now that makes me laugh, when I think back. He's grown into such a good boy, I love being home with him everyday and getting muddy over the fields.
I read your posts in the will it ever end forum. I remember Dexter. We might be taking Wrigley to my parents house to go swim in a bit. After dinner so he'll (hopefully) be worn out.
Hello there, Welcome to the Forum,Wrigley is a brilliant name for a puppy of any breed but especially a little lab pup, I love it! Hope the Trainer can help you with the settling in process. Our dog is our first dog and an only dog but many members have multi dogs and this settling in/ getting to know period comes up often ....and to my memory it always works out in the end ,good luck x
Hi from Holly and me in Monmouth, Wales. I thinks Wrigley is a great name. I'd love to see some pictures of the little fella.
If you have a Flickr or Photobucket account its really easy. The instructions are in the technical and help section. http://thelabradorforum.com/forums/technical-help.18/ You'll soon realise that we LOVE puppy pictures on this forum!
