We are starting the second half of a 4000 mile road trip. We drove back roads (at least not interstate) from Portland to NW Missouri including a trip though Yellowstone Park. 2100 miles in five days going out. We took our time and stopped early. The trip back is only about 1700 miles and we will do it in 3 days. (sometimes two but it is hard driving) Both dogs had a good time and got to do a bit of swiming. It seems like most motels are pet friendly now. Our dogs shared my Sister-in-Laws house with her Plot Hound and Plot Hound cross.

I'll post some pictures later. (Saw and got pictures of the first Big Horn Sheep I've ever seen, even though we have them in Oregon.

Wow! What a long way. I can't even begin to imagine..the Isle of Man is only 33 miles long and 13 miles wide with 688 miles of road in total (some of those are no more than tracks) and less than half a mile of dual carriage way.

Look forward to seeing your photos.

A long hard day of traveling. Ontario Oregon.

Cooper's first Whitewater experience. High on the Grand Ronde River in the Oregon Blue Mtns. Cooper couldn't figure out what happened to the tennis ball the first time she dropped it. She figured it out quick enough. P1000525a.jpg

We are only about 4 hrs from home. It was 100 deg F when we got to Portland. The hottest weather we saw on the entire trip.

Wow, you got to see some gorgeous country. I've driven though Washington State, Oregon and Utah on the way to California (unfortunately sans dog) and would love to have a chance to go back and spend a little time in each of those states...absolutely stunning scenery. Thanks for sharing the photos.
