I had just died to add a pic, must have picked the wrong find to copy from photo bucket, but I don't see a 'edit' function. I want to change the picture link to get the correct link info. Shouldn't I see an edit function on my post?
Sorry, there isn't actually an edit button. There was previously but it is too difficult for the forum moderators/administration to monitor the forums when people have the ability to make changes as they please. However, if you have accidentally posted something that you would like to remove, Fiona (@snowbunny) may be able to help you.
@RDelmwood - I think you have 5 minutes to edit. Any of the moderators should be able to help with a simple edit. Hope you have sorted this out, if not, let one of us know. jac
Sorry Jac, I thought it was an admin thing, didn't realise mods could do it too. Thanks for clearing it up
No problem @Emily - Snowbunny is hands down the IT expert among the mods, but we all have that particular super-power (the editing one) and if we are around will help out if we can. Assuming we aren't picking up after puppies, doing battle with EU WiFi, doing our day jobs *sigh*, or out in the rain walking x
It is good to know this! I came across this problem too for I wanted to edit my post for English language correction.... I must now read it first and then post it, not the other way around as I used to do....
Sorry. I've been MIA for a bit! If you need help, just send me a PM or, as Jac said, any mod can do the same
There is already another thread about editing going.... See: http://thelabradorforum.com/threads/edit-button.14909/
As the other thread is locked, I will reply on this one. I read a post (earlier this afternoon) that I had just posted, and saw a typo. I hovered the cursor over the incorrect letter and hit backspace, and the original page for creating the post popped up. I corrected the typo and hit the post button. Two identical posts then showed on the post listing, then the original post just vanished, leaving the corrected post. I did this automatically, as it is similar to the correction facility on another forum I use. Hope this helps.
I deleted one of your posts just after it was posted. I took a quick glance and saw they looked identical, so I just deleted an arbitrary one - probably at the same time you were doing your test
