With the nice weather we have been having - well the odd day anyway - I've noticed on either hot or muggy days Bailey has been quiet and not keen on doing anything - so while shopping today I found in the clearance aisle a paddling pool - solid sides so nothing to bite and pop, so I couldn't resist.

The result an hour of splashing fun! Think this was a hit - especially when my OH joined in! Here's a picture of them both before things got too wet!

He was so funny - head, front legs, chest all in and splashing about happily - but he would not put his butt down at all! And as today was not that warm, we hadn't just put cold water in either so it was a nice temperature (had to test it first you understand!)

Every Labrador needs their own paddling pool :) Looks like it was a big hit!

That looks great fun. I got Charlie's out a couple of weeks ago, that I bought towards the end of the summer last year.

For dogs that are not too tough on their pools, these fold out pools are just ideal - so easy to store. I put mine on gravel, and find that the bottom is, as a result, pretty non slip as the material and weight of the water creates a textured surface round the gravel.

We found with it being on paving slabs there was enough texture coming through to give Bailey a good footing when in the pool - he didn't slip at all - although if he starts going in and out at a million miles an hour that could change! We would then find elsewhere to put the pool so he can still enjoy it. He really enjoyed himself - shame it's raining today :( but I guess that means mud :D
