Duncan is 22 weeks and just around 32-33lbs ~ 14.5ish kg

He did have a bad stomach bug for 2 weeks and those 2 weeks he didn't gain much if any weight, but this past week when he was back to normal he went back to gaining a solid 2lbs - up until this point he puts on about 2lbs per week :) the vet told me he is ideal weight and you should always be able to feel their ribs, but never be able to see their ribs when looking at them

I can tell he is getting longer, but he isn't getting much taller just yet - he is in the awkward stage where his legs are growing fast and he trips over them and his ears are growing and he is like a gangly teenager hahaha

Bear is now 17 weeks and 21.5kg's, this week saw a slight decline in weekly weight increase (which I think is good, I would prefer to have him grow slower than in fast bursts).

Here is an updated graph, thanks again to everyone who shared some more data!

Pepper is just short of 10 weeks and weighs 4,5 kg or about 10 lbs!

    Very small, almost concerning! :)

HaHa - haven't looked at this thread for ages!

Betsy came home at 8 weeks and weighed 5.5kgs. Today, 13 days later, she weighs 8.5kgs. Vet says her body condition is good, thankfully. But we both found it hard to tell as she is still such a round puppy shape.

@tkbaby don't start worrying about Pepper's weight. Juno weighed much the same at 10 weeks of age and currently weighs around 24.5 to 25 kg at two years of age. She gained around 1lb or 500 gram a week and weight gain slowed around the 22kg mark. Slow and steady is absolutely fine :D

Gunnar is now 4.5 months and now weighs in at 51 lbs! He's a such a love. Vet says he's looking very well and still has a bit of growing.

There doesn't seem to be an "introductions" post, so I'll introduce my little girl here - Xena. She was weighed at the vet earlier this week at 10.5 weeks...9.4kg! She's a big puppy, and my arms are getting quite a workout carrying her from the kitchen to the garden what seems like 500x per day. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks before finally creating an account yesterday, and you've got no idea how reassuring you all are. It's so lovely to know that I'm not alone!

We'll play too...Jedi is 19 weeks and weighs 39 lbs. Someone told me today that he won't be very big because his paws are small...I thought his paws looked kind of big. o_O Most of the other dogs from this breeder (same mom/dad pair) are upwards of 70 lbs.

    Hi guys.
New to the forum and am a very neurotic mum!
My lab, Dougie, is 17 weeks old and as of today only weighs 11.7kgs.
He's happy and waggy and enjoys his food. Mum was also a working dog so not big and chunky!
He's currently on three meals a day, 140grams per meal.
Should I be worried about his weight?
Thanks in advance for all the replies :)

Hi EllisandDougie and welcome to the forum. I wouldn't be at all worried about your pup he sounds happy and healthy. If you look through this thread and check the charts you'll see we have pup of all sizes whether they be from working dogs or show dogs. Enjoy your wee man :doug:give him a few months and you'll be wondering what you were worrying for  Any photos.. we like photos

    Mine was absolutely teeny tiny!

At 9 weeks he weighed 2kg. At 12 he weighs about 5!

We were worried for a while but took him to the vets and they didn't seem too concerned. Hopefully he'll stay little (wishful thinking)

    Hi EllisandDougie,

I love this thread as it shows just how varied our Labradors can be in weight. For me and my boy Bear it reminds me of the opposite concern that you have (I have to be careful to ensure Bear doesn't put on too much weight too quickly). The key is to keep a close eye on body shape. A body chart like this:

will help give you an indication of your labrador's body condition. Obviously if your unsure or concerned, asking your vet is probably not a bad idea, depending on you vet, this might not need an appointment (my vets have a scale in the waiting room and always encourage people to drop in and are happy to comment on body condition without an appointment).
