So today was a milestone for me! My husband and I had a couple over for a barbecue which Millie never met before, for being 5 months I got a very relieved suprise by her. Millie and I were outside playing a bit when our guests arrived and I could feel the oh no where is the lead at feeling crawling up on me. When they exit their car I told Millie to sit, which she did (omg wow she did when new people came over) she did whimper and was gonna try go there but I told her to stay.. And she did (yay what is happening?!)
when she calmed down I let them come forward and say hi to her and boy she didn't jump nor nibble, I felt so proud of my 5month old baby today so I just had to brag.

She was so nice and obidient the whole time they were here so I got amazed and realized she will become a very beautiful nice lab when these moments of total puppyness is over.

Even our friends said I got more control over my dog then they have over their 2 year old they got home. The hole day makes me feel like I been training her in a good constitent way, although I am scared of when she will become a teenager.. We will see how much she listens then lol!

Oh well done Millie, and well done you with your consistent training. I'm just a bit jealous. Coco (aged 2) slipped through the front door the other day when I opened it to a man collecting catalogues. He only jumped up and put his paws on the man's shoulders. Gushing apologies.

I'm just so overwhelmed happy, we don't really get that many visitors so I was already a bit nervous for how she would be towards new people.. And on top of that they arrived when we were outside off lead with no leash close by. Crossing my fingers that she will continue improving and listen as good in the future.

No wonder you're proud, this sounds amazing! I can only hope that me and Xena can achieve when she's 5 months!

Way to go Millie! Such a good girl. It is such a great feeling to see the positive outcomes of training when they are introduces to new situations and people. She is a fantastic dog and you are doing a wonderful job working with her.
