Harley has gone and cut her back paw on our walk today! It's nowhere near as bad as the front one 2 weeks ago, but it's so frustrating. I have cleaned and put on some manuka honey and bandaged for a bit. She really doesn't like a bandage on her back paw........she won't stand on that leg!
    It's just soooooo frustrating.

Before our walk today, Harley seemed really lethargic. She was eating and drinking ok, but just didn't want to play. On our walk she was a bit more energetic, but not her usual self and since we've been home and bandaged her paw she's been asleep :(

Awww, poor little love, hopefully she will get over this and you can get to the bottom of why she is not her usual happy self.

Oh bum, not again! Do some dogs have delicate paws? Or is it just bad luck that she keeps standing on sharp things?

Thanks all. I think it's just been bad luck :(
She's had some tea and ate that fine and is now snuggled back up to me.

I think there must be something in the stream that she likes to go in. I've emailed the local parish council (I work with them very closely!) and let them know and asked for someone to go and check one particular area as it seems to be when she goes in there!!
We are going to avoid that part of the stream until I know it's been looked at and cleared.

How is her paw today? Was it a sharp cut? Wonder if there was broken glass lying around, we have narrowly missed some where people have had parties in the nice weather...

Yes, it is a sharp cut. It's very possible it's from glass, but these fields are hardly used except for dog walking so am a bit concerned how glass has got there! I can only think that maybe teens out at night as it is near a housing estate.

She's still not 100% - she's eating and drinking fine, but not really playful still. I think maybe her paws are quite sore. I'm cleaning her paws with diluted hibiscrub after each walk and hope that will help.
