Hi all. Been a long while since i have been on what with a new baby and all!

Tonight Lola has vomited multiple times and it is freaking me out. Not the sick but the shaking.

My lovely (if a bit dim) other half bought her a rawhide bone when he picked up her food today, something I never buy her because they are just the worst kind of junk! She ate it in one sitting.

She first vomited around 8.30 and last maybe 45 min ago. That was just water that she had drank before.

I must add Lola is taking Epiphen twice a day for epilepsy and it can affect her liver. She has no doubt puked the meds out too, couldnt see them but she has her meds 8am and 8pm.

Is my night best spent cuddled up with her or sat at the vets?

Vet sounds like a safe idea to me. Did your OH see the rawhide go down? They have caused blockage problems if swallowed in too large hunks. Vomiting might be a sign of that. If she has pooped ok then probably not blocked. But the shaking is a concern. Can you video the shaking? The Vet might like to see.

I would definitely go to the vet for this one, given that she is shaking.

    Phew! What a night!

Ended up sleeping on the kitchen floor with her ha ha.

Spoke with the vets and she thinks the shaking was just like shock cause it was only the tops of her legs.

Shes a super happy pooch again this morning :D

But there were some big chunks of rawhide. At first i thought it was onion and panicked big time! Thats when he said "oh i gave her a rawhide bone" aaaargh hate those things.

She'd eaten it behind the sofa cause it's her "chewing spot" but had obviously eaten some big chunks!

Good job the baby has a bed downstairs lol

Glad she's better now - looks like no more rawhide for her!

I don't give rawhides either, because my dog finds them too easy to swallow big pieces of. But it's not just rawhides they can do that with. Your OH needs to supervise when giving anything new like that.
