Today went really well, Mabel is walking better than expected at this stage. Her X-rays show that the plate and pins have not moved at all. The bone is healing well but not completely which again is to be expected at this stage. She is to stay on restricted exercise until her next set of X-rays at the end of October. I'm to carry on with my short walks to cafés and obviously eat more cake. I'm literally jumping with joy.:sheeproll: Mabel had a new toy for being very brave, which she loves so much she went to sleep with it firmly in her mouth. :) image.jpeg

Oh I've just seen this. I'm so sorry about poor Mabel. She's very lucky to have such a loving caring mum though!

Glad she's on the mend and that photo is too adorable, little love! :inlove:

So very happy to hear things are going well. Mabel deserved her treat, I hope her mum got one too. ;)

Mabel had her first Hydrotheraphy session on the treadmill today 3 X 1 minute walks. Although she was understandably a little nervous she did very well. I'm to give myself a big pat on the back as I'm doing incredibly well with her recovery and coping admirably. Its so nice to be reassured as some days are a definite challenge.
Mabel celebrated with a Kong stuffed with sardines and I'm going to have a Mexican take away with some old university friends. :D
