Our little girl today, a bit tired after a busy day, just over 5 months old and looking SO grown up. Note that 'awful' Labrador sit that all trainers tut at so much

Our family dogs (mutts) as kids always sat like that. I have only ever seen either of mine do it when they're leaning against something - normally the back of the sofa when they're sat on it.

It looks to me like her long legs are just getting in the way a bit :)

Nope, can't align that face with your stories. So innocent, the perfect pup!

Beautiful picture, she's lovely,Dexter does it sometimes....it's his 'relaxed'sit rather than his 'sit up straight because something is about to be asked of me'

She's gorgeous! Judy sits like that too (also five months) in fact she's doing it right now while watching a squirrel! What a lovely shiny coat Molly has.

Have you found a breeder yet? That will dictate what colours are available :)

I think the shininess is because we put a teaspoonful of coconut oil in her evening tucker in an effort to keep her skin and coat soft and moisturised as her allergy problem was causing, dry, flaky and itchy patches. Seems to be working so far, fingers crossed.

Snowbunny's reply is your answer. Doesn't really matter the colour, the right pup is the thing. Good luck with your search and we look forward to hearing the outcome :)

Yes you're right, I'm going to keep my options open then it will be easier finding the right pup. I love all colours so that makes it a bit easier, have a list of names for all colours and both sexes too! Can you tell I'm desperate to get a pup but have to wait! It's so hard x

No not yet - I am waiting until I see my surgeon next month to see when I'm having my surgery as that will dictate when I can get a puppy. Once I have a rough date I'll find a breeder hopefully with pups due around then. That way I'll be off work and at home 24/7 for a few months. I'm so desperate to get one sooner but have to keep thinking that will be the best way

I was the same when I had to choose my pup first time round. I went about it all wrong, and it was heart ruling head, but I ended up with the choice of a yellow boy or a black girl. I had no preference and it was the hardest decision ever. In the end, we chose the black girl - Willow. But ended up with the yellow boy a few weeks later, too! :)

Haha you got the best of both worlds then! I'm leaning towards a chocolate but I really wouldn't mind any colour or sex really. Not sure how I'm going to wait! I could get one earlier but it couldn't go to doggy day care until had all injections so at least 11/12 wks so I'd be stuck then as I work 3 days and no-one to ask as my family live 5hrs drive away. So I will have to wait, on 31 October I should know how long roughly and if it's months and months might just take a few weeks off and go for it!
