Thought I would post an update on Monah. My husband took her to the vet today for her annual checkup along with her paw chewing etc. and the vet provided us with some paw wipes to try. I would upload a picture but the name of them is Malacetic. They are a natural antibacterial anti fungal wipe. Our friends sister uses them on her dog and they work amazingly well apparently. Monah is doing better since I started with the Epsom salt soak but these seem quick and easy. They vet said it could be allergies but more so a yeast build up over days so to use these after walks when we can.
Thank you for all your advice

Hey!!! FINALLY another Albertan!! Woot!! Howdy! I live in Drayton Valley with my 4 year old Lab/Newfie X Simba! Great to see you here!

Glad Monah is getting some relief but I would agree that I would pursue a specialist if things don't improve.

Did your Vet take a close look at her ears too? I see you have the wipes which are helping but if the source is somewhere yet undiscovered the itch could keep coming back. And itchy paws, especially if it's yeast, can come from the ears, for one. They scratch their ears with their paws, bingo, transfer. As per my Vet.

    Hi Lisa!
The wipes are helping with her chewing her paws, finally showing some relief! The vet said it is a yeast build up and not much can be done to prevent it. I may still look into a specialist.

    Hi,
Yes the vet look into her ear canals and they are clean showing no signs of yeast inside. Only some in the outer part of the ear, which is itches. That makes sense tho of the transfer! Never thought of that! She seems to be doing much better the last two weeks with the wipes! Thanks for the info!
