He's been trying to copy our Chi mix who likes to lay across the top like a cat. Been nipping that in the bud, don't need to walk into the room with a 30kg+ lab sprawled across the top of the sofa
When Shadow gets excited, such as when my husband comes home, he'll jump up on one of the sofas (positioned in the middle of the room, so no wall behind) and proceeds to run back and forth along the top of it. Mental creature.
Bailey likes to lay along the top of our settee, then draping (and I use that term loosely!) himself around our shoulders so we end up with head and front legs over one shoulder and tail and back legs over the other! He is quickly removed from this position as it flipping hurts now! So he now squishes the back cushions down and lays along those instead . In the time BB (Before Bailey) we were going to get a new settee, this has however been put on hold!
Hehe, I can imagine this, some sort of parody of one of those horrible fox furs. He's the right colour for it, too
And he wiggles too!!!! Was cute when he was small as he would fall asleep, but now he uses it as an opportunity to try and clean out my ears!
Our sofa looks like an old hand-me-down now because I've covered it with a slip cover that, within 10 minutes of being put on, was left with all sorts of threads pulled out by his claws It looks seriously awful, so now that's covered with an old quilt. Hard to believe underneath it all is a lovely sofa! No more cushions, no more rugs, things are turning a bit "minimalist" quickly!
May get a cover for ours - have a throw that I use to cover myself in the evenings - until a certain pup decides he HAS to have that on the floor to lay on of course!
